We’re leaving for Beirut in a little while and will be there thru June 1st. Things have been a little unstable there lately, so I’ll be sure to let you know where we’re staying and all of that as soon as we get settled. Tyre was AMAZING. Yesterday, we were in Qana (Canaa) visiting the memorial to those massacred by the Israelis is 1996, and this man invited us to his house and after we got to talking he decided to drive us all around the south. We even got to see the border with Israel. We went down to Bint Jbeil, the most-hit city in the war last summer, and it was shocking to see all the devastation. To see the bullet holes in peoples homes, the empty foundations, the rubble… It was very sobering, but definitely necessary too for me to really get a grasp on how much the Lebanese have suffered at the hands of others. Anyway, I’m SO glad that we don’t have to worry about anything like that happening to us, and I’m so thankful that we’re all happy and healthy and together.
Missing you more and more….
